Contact Sport Practices Cancelled For Today, 1/26

With the snow today making roads tricky, and given the extended pause our contact sports are in, today will be a day for all coaches and athletes to take a break—a welcomed physical and mental break.  We are cancelling all practices for contact sports today (Tuesday, January 26).   Bowling, Ski, and Swim can hold practices as scheduled today.

Rucha Deshpande Sets School Record

The 2020 season has thrown a lot of challenges at the Troy High Girls Swim & Dive team. But those challenges paid dividends for the final exam, the state finals, on Saturday, January 16th at Hudsonville High School. The girls posted the highest score at the state finals since 2007, where they scored 111 points.

MHSAA Winter Sport Schedule Update

Updated Winter Calendar for Basketball, Competitive Cheer, Ice Hockey and Wrestling: The MHSAA Council approved a plan for adjusting schedules for the five Winter “contact” sports which may begin non-contact practices on Jan. 16 but must delay any activities that involve physical contact between individuals until Feb. 1 per the recent update to the MDHHS

Fall/Winter Sports Paused, Again.

With the state’s three-week “pause” coming to a close Dec. 9, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced Monday that the order will continue until Dec. 20 during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. On Nov. 19, the pause halted all Michigan High School Athletic Association-sanctioned sports, including the remaining fall sports: high school football, volleyball, and girls swim and dive.

Girls Cross Country Ends Season with State Finals Trip

The girls cross country team wrapped up the 2020 season with their sixth consecutive appearance at the MHSAA State Championship. The team finished 23rd on a warm morning, led by senior Paige Anderson finishing in 39th place. This meet also marked the final one for head coach Matt Richardson, who is giving up the reigns
